100 yellow vest protestors arrested in Paris marches

French police arrested more than 100 yellow vest demonstrators in Paris on Saturday as clashes broke out with protesters taking to the streets for a 23rd week of anti-government marches.

Dozens of black-hooded demonstrators threw rocks at police while some others set fire to vehicles, safety barriers and bins. Police used anti-riot grenades and tear gas to disperse the marchers.

Paris was on high alert after French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said rioters return and intent on wreaking havoc in Paris, Toulouse, Montpellier and Bordeaux. Officials said that many subway metros have ceased operation and 60,000 police officers have been deployed across France.
