11 Vietnamese athletes to compete at Tokyo Paralympics

 

 

 Vietnam’s 19-member delegation, including 11 athletes, will participate in the upcoming Tokyo Summer Paralympic Games.

During a working session with the Vietnam Paralympic Association in Hanoi on Wednesday, Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Physical Training and Sports, said the delegation will comprise a leader, three officials, a doctor, three coaches and 11 athletes, including three in track-and-field, four in swimming and four in weightlifting.

The delegation will leave for the Tokyo Paralympics from August 18. Athletes were called for training early last year at the National Sports Training Centers in Ho Chi Minh City and in Da Nang.
