Snow fell on the top of Fansipan Mountain – the highest peak in Indochina – on Sunday when a strong cold spell hit Vietnam. According to authorities of the northern province of Lao Cai, home to Fansipan, the temperature at the mountain is dropping further, and sleet or frost is forecast to continue.
