3 people died, 4 were injured and 1 went missing after torrential rains swept through northern and central provinces as of Sunday, according to the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
Landslides triggered by heavy rains blocked roads and damaged bridges in many localities, disrupting traffic and isolating a number of villages.

7 towns and districts in Quang Binh have been at the high risk of landslides, and nearly 2,000 local residents need to be evacuated.

Torrential rains have also caused power outages and flooding in Thua Thien-Hue province.
