(VOVWORLD) – The Ministry of Health announced 94 more COVID-19 community transmissions in Vietnam Sunday evening, raising the country’s total count during the day to 300.

57 of the new infections were in HCM city, 23 in Bac Giang, 3 in Bac Ninh, 9 in Da Nang, and 2 in Nghe An.

83 of the latest cases were detected in quarantine facilities or locked down areas.

Since the new wave of coronavirus hit Vietnam on April 27, the country has recorded 9,944 community infections.
