Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien has visited and presented gifts to border guards and social beneficiaries in Mong Cai city and Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province.

He presented 60 houses and 250 gifts to social beneficiaries and poor households and 250 scholarships to poor children.

During his visits to Po Hen and Quang Duc border guard stations and COVID-19 check points, Mr. Chien asked the units to overcome difficulties to ensure a happy and safe Tet for the people, maintain combat readiness, and increase inspections to defend national sovereignty, territory, political stability and social order in border areas. He asked the forces to strengthen communications on the Vietnam Border Guard Law for the people living in border areas.
