700 delegates attend Vietnamese Students’ Association Congress

The Party and the State value students and work to build a generation of Vietnamese young people who are patriotic and faithful to the ideal of national independence and socialism, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the 10th National Congress of the Vietnamese Students' Association.

During the 3-day event, which opened in Hanoi on Monday, nearly 700 delegates will elect a new Executive Committee and discuss the Association's plans for the next 5 years.

We should encourage students to participate more in innovative science research and promote start-ups. Vietnamese Students' Association should be more activities diverse to attract more students including Vietnamese students studying abroad, and foreign students in Vietnam, Prime Minister Phuc said.

First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Le Quoc Phong said youth will responsibly contribute to building and developing in the integration period.

The Vietnamese Students' Association is a close friend of students. It helps, supports, and guides students to meet their aspirations and fulfil their responsibilities, Mr Phong said.
