The Health Ministry reported 856 new infections of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the national tally to more than 10.7 million cases.

Hanoi continued to record the highest number of new infections with 151, followed by Da Nang city and Phu Tho province.

Over 6,300 patients were declared free from coronavirus the same day.

Nearly 224 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered nationwide.
