Algeria wants to export date palm to Vietnam

Algeria is now proceeding with necessary papers to export date palm to Vietnam, said a representative of Algerian Ministry of Agriculture, adding that several Algerian businesses have found their partners in Vietnam and are negotiating to distribute date palms there.

In a related development, around 160 Algerian and international businesses on Saturday attended the opening ceremony of the 3rd Biskra International Date Palm Expo in Biskra, around 500 km south of the capital Algiers.

The expo introduced the premium date palms grown in oases in southern Algeria, including the famous brand of Deglet Nour, which is loved by consumers from around the world, including those from sophisticated markets in Europe like France.
