All medical resources must be mobilized to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, regardless of public or private, military or civilian, central or local level, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said while inspecting pandemic response in HCM city on Tuesday. Mr. Dam, who is Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, said that  COVID-19 is spreading widely in HCM city. and its neighboring localities, requiring special measures.

Local people should sacrifice personal interests, give up some personal habits and needs for a while to avoid heavy losses in lives when the pandemic cripples the healthcare system, he said.

The Deputy PM underscored the need to strictly enforce social distancing and categorize coronavirus cases with priority given to treating the most critical cases.
