Ao Dai embellished with Japan’s Tsumami flowers

Vietnam's traditional long dresses decorated with Japan's traditional fabric flowers were showcased during a cultural exchange in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday.

The Ao dai and Tsumami flowers program was part of the sixth HCM City Ao Dai Festival from March 2 to 17.

Vietnamese designer Si Hoang said long silk dresses enhanced the beauty of the traditional Japanese flowers, which were apricot and peach flowers this year.

Tsumami flowers are made by assembling folding and gluing square pieces of fabric onto a base. This art is 200 years old.
