The Office reported that Australia is one of the countries which apply the hardest quarantine regulations in the world. So far, Australia has yet allowed any fruit imports from Viet Nam.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has worked closely with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to negotiate with the Australian Ministry of Agriculture to remove the technical barriers for Vietnamese litchi to penetrate the large market.

As scheduled, Vietnamese litchi would get official licence to the Australian market in 2015./.
