Brisbane city and the southern region of Queensland, Australia, have been chosen as the venue for the 2032 Summer Olympic Games, according to the International Olympic Committee’s vote on Wednesday, in Tokyo.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said it’s an honor to host of the Olympic Games for the third time and the Paralympic Games for the second time.
The 2032 Olympics will take place from July 23 to August 8, and then the Paralympics. Athletes will compete in Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland state, and in more than 30 venues in other parts of the state, including Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast , Logan, Ipswich and Redland.
Before Brisbane, Melbourne was the host of the 1956 Olympics and Sydney was the host of the 2000 Olympics.
