Aviation contributes to Vietnam’s tourism development

The increasing participation of domestic and international airlines, expanded routes, rising frequency of flights, and upgraded aviation infrastructure have bolstered Vietnamese tourism, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in its annual report of 2018.

Meanwhile, the International Aviation Transport Association reports that in the last decade Vietnam is one of the aviation markets with the world's highest growth rate, reaching more than 17%. Vietnam's aviation market attracted major regional and global airlines as well as many budget carriers.

Vietnam now has more than 28 airports including 10 international and 12 domestic airports. Domestic airlines have closely cooperated with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and travel companies to develop tourist products, and promote destinations and tourism worldwide.
