Banks urged to make it easier for SMEs to access capital

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) reports that just 40% of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) have access to bank capital.

Economists say interactions between SMEs and banks and other financial institutions plays an important role in resolving the credit shortage for SMEs. VCCI Chairman Vu Tien Loc said: The banks should offer more programs to help SMEs by providing information, consulting, training, and access to new markets.
