Best start-up student ideas honored

The best start-up student ideas were awarded in Hanoi on Saturday after 5 months of competition.

The top 15 projects were selected from 570 entries. Nguyen Minh Triet, an official of the Vietnam Youth Union, praised students' start-up ideas: "The competition has shown encouraging results. The entries enable us to identify students' needs to provide appropriate support. We will further study student start-up support models around the world to apply in Vietnam and get students' associations at all levels involved in students' start-up efforts".

"Smart water", a water quality monitoring solution developed by students of Thai Nguyen University, won the first prize, which includes 2,200 USD in cash, 22,000 USD for project implementation, and a field trip to the US.
