Brasilia - Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil Bui Van Nghi presented a copy of his credentials to Brazilian First Foreign Minister Maria Laura da Rocha, who affirmed Brazil's commitment to enhancing cooperation with Vietnam in diverse fields.
According to Vietnam News Agency, The Brazilian official outlined plans to implement policies set by both countries' leaders and prepare for the 35th anniversary of Brazil-Vietnam diplomatic relations in 2024. Ambassador Nghi, who also covers Peru, Bolivia, Guyana, and Suriname, pledged to work towards strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Brazil.
Both sides agreed to promote bilateral cooperation plans, including high-level delegation exchanges and collaboration in various fields such as trade, investment, education, health care, science-technology, tourism, and people-to-people exchange. Ambassador Nghi expressed hope that Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva would visit Vietnam in 2024 for the anniversary. He also conveyed optimism for Brazil's successful hosting of the G20 Summit in 2024.
