Brexit: Opposition parties prepare for caretaker government to oust Boris Johnson

The UK's opposition parties, including Labour, the Scottish National Party (SNP), and the Liberal Democrats, met Monday to block a no-deal Brexit.

They discussed plans for a government of national unity to oust Boris Johnson and ask the EU to permit a Brexit extension until January 31, 2020, which Boris Johnson has dismissed several times despite Parliament's Withdrawal Act.

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said a national unity government is the last resort, and Parliament will do whatever it must to force Johnson to agree to an extension if a deal cannot be reached before October 19.
