British MPs reject all 4 alternative Brexit proposals

British MPs on Monday rejected all 4 alternative Brexit proposals in their latest round of votes.

The 4 proposals, selected by House of Commons Speaker John Bercow, were: a permanent customs union with the EU, a Norway-style exit deal known as Common Market 2.0, a new referendum to approve a Brexit deal, and an extension of the Brexit deadline.

Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay said the only option is to find a way through which allows the UK to leave with a deal and avoid holding European Parliament elections in May by approving an agreement this week.
