Bui Vien becomes Ho Chi Minh City’s second pedestrian street

Bui Vien street in Ho Chi Minh City's District 1 was closed to all but pedestrians on Sunday night, becoming the second walking street in the city after Nguyen Hue, which was made a pedestrian street in 2015.

All vehicles are prohibited from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am every Saturday and Sunday on Bui Vien street, which is in the city's popular backpacker zone. Two stages have been erected to host art performances. There will also be festivals, street parades, and other entertainment. Free wifi and tourism information will be available.
