More than 90,000 visitors, including 600 foreigners, attended the 5-day Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival which closed on Tuesday in Dak Lak province. Addressing the closing ceremony, Nguyen Tuan Ha, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the organizing board, said the success of the festival will strongly promote Vietnamese coffee products and, more importantly, become a brand and geographical indication for Buon Ma Thuot Coffee in the international market.

“It’ll promote the development of high-quality coffee, specialty coffee, and an aspiration to make Buon Ma Thuot a destination of the world’s coffee, a city of the world’s coffee,” said Ha.

He noted that the festival also promotes trade and investment potential and spreads traditional cultural values and offers an opportunity to strengthen solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between Dak Lak and other countries and international organizations.

Many activities were held on the sidelines of the festival, including an international trade conference attended by 500 delegates and 63 coffee import-export businesses.
