Catalonia government sworn in

New government of Catalonia was sworn in on Saturday, a move to end direct rule from Madrid by Spain's central government.

13 members of the Executive Council of Catalonia led by Quim Torra took oaths of allegiance to Catalonia in Barcelona.

At the event, Catalan chief Torra expressed his wishes to meet with new Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who came to power after he successfully ousted Mariano Rajoy, who lost a no-confidence vote in parliament on Friday.
