Central Highlands urged to better manage migration

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked localities to better control the free migration of people and focus more on improving infrastructure and supporting production of local people.

At a meeting in Dak Lak Province on Sunday to discuss ways to improve the management of migrants in the central highlands region, the Prime Minister said that the free migration of people has reduced sharply in the localities with improved infrastructure and stable production conditions. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, 76% of 67,000 migrants nationwide are from the central highlands.
