Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates Vietnam-Japan 45th diplomatic anniversary

Hanoi is preparing to host a Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in March with special activities compared with the previous 3 festivals.

Nguyen Duc Chung, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, told Isao Iijima, special advisor to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, at a meeting on Saturday on activities to mark the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

They also discussed measures to enhance bilateral investment cooperation. The Cherry Blossom Festival will include fantastic art performances and culinary shows of both countries.

Mr. Chung said Vietnam and Hanoi in particular have always welcomed foreign investors, including those from Japan on Saturday.
