China, ASEAN to hold joint expo

The China-ASEAN Expo 2017 will take place in the Chinese city of Nanning in September to promote trade between the two sides.

China continued to be ASEAN's biggest trade partner last year, with two-way trade hitting more than 450 billion USD.

Zhang Xiaoqin, Vice Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, told a press briefing in Beijing on Monday: The expo expects to welcome 10,000 visitors. For the first time, there will be an exhibition of smart manufacturing, unmanned vehicles, 3D printing and other advanced technologies.

The expo will include 30 forums on tourism, cross-border e-commerce, and environmental cooperation.
