China calls on US, North Korea to implement Singapore agreement
Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the US and North Korea to implement the agreement reached at last week's US-North Korea summit in Singapore.
In a meeting with Xi on Tuesday in Beijing, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un thanked and praised China for its support of denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and its important role in protecting the peninsula's peace and stability.
President Xi said China wants North Korea and the US to carry out the pledges of their summit.
Kim is visiting China for the third time on Tuesday, after visits in March and May.
