China’s top trade negotiator to lead delegation to US for talks

China's Vice Premier, Liu He will lead a delegation to the US for the next round of trade discussions one week after China's National Holiday, Commerce Ministry Vice Minister Wang Shouwen said Sunday.

The National Holiday is observed from Tuesday to Thursday.

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said that the talks will take place in Washington during the second week of October. Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced an increase in tariffs from 25% to 30% on 250 billion USD worth of Chinese imports beginning Tuesday, but agreed to delay the increase until October 15th to incentivize the trade talks.
