Conference on combating smuggling, trade frauds convened

An online national conference on ways to combat smuggling, trade fraud, and forged goods opened in Hanoi on Thursday. Participants stressed the need to increase communications on the prevention of crime, human trafficking and social evils and focus more on high-risk areas. Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong said: The Ministry of Public Security will work closely with relevant agencies of the army, Customs Office, and other forces to resolutely break down criminal rings, especially crimes related to drug trafficking, the black market , child abuse, and human trafficking. We will strengthen inspection to prevent illegal sand exploitation, and ensure absolute security for activities of the Party and State, and the country's political, economic, and cultural events.

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh stressed the need to update policies on crime, maintain law and social order, and strengthen state management in preventing smuggling, trade fraud, and forged goods.
