COVID-19: Ho Chi Minh City records 1,043 of total 1,240 new cases

 

The Ministry of Health said that from 7pm on Saturday to 12noon on Sunday, Vietnam confirmed an additional 1,240 new COVID-19 cases, including 2 imported cases in An Giang (1) and Ba Ria Vung Tau (1). 

Ho Chi Minh City detected the most with 1,043 cases of Covid-19. Out of 1,238 cases recorded in the country, 916 cases were detected in quarantine or lockdown areas.

As of 12 noon Sunday, Vietnam recorded a total of 29,103 COVID-19 cases, of which 27,185 cases were locally transmitted and 1,918 imported cases.

To date, Vietnam has declared 9,204 COVID-19 patients cured, but 112 patients have died.
