Binh Duong province has basically contained the COVID-19 pandemic, said Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Loc Ha at a press conference on Friday. 

Mr. Ha said 5 districts and townships in the province are categorized as green zones and 4 others are yellow zones. The number of infections dropped dramatically following the injection of the booster jabs.

Despite the pandemic, the province fulfilled 21 out of its 32 targets last year while its GRDP increased 2.6% against the previous year. Industrial production, retail sales and services,  and import-export value continued to grow, said Mr. Ha.
