(VOVWORLD) – Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla has unveil evidence of a US misinformation campaign to cause social unrest in the country on July 11. 

Addressing a press briefing on Wednesday, the Foreign Minister said that the US was behind high-tech cyber system to create thousands of fake accounts on social media to cause unrest and sabotage constitutional order, social consensus, and unity among the Cubans.

He strongly condemned Washington’s use of the difficulties and complicated circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to destabilize the Cuban situation.

Foreign Minister  Parrilla repeated his call for a removal of embargo against Cuba  and warned of harmful consequences caused by the US behaviors in the Caribbean region.  But he said Cuba is willing to establish a respectful, healthy, and fair relationship with the US.
