Da Nang festival promotes Vietnamese, Japanese cultures

The 6th Vietnam-Japan Culture Exchange Festival kicked off in the central city of Da Nang on Thursday night, offering cultural performances, cuisine, traditional art demonstrations, games and seminars on tourism and human resources development.

The annual event, which has been held since 2014, opened to the public with 60 pavilions at the Dragon Bridge Park. A Japanese tea-making exchange took place on Friday where Da Nang and the Japanese city of Kisarazu signed a memorandum of understanding on multi-faceted cooperation. Artists from Japan and Vietnam will also stage traditional joint-performances and demonstrations of Yosakoi, flashmob, cosplay and Ikebana flower art over three nights until Sunday.
