Deputy FM: Vietnam’s attendance of 2017 WEF achieves practical results

(VOVworld) Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son says Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has delivered to the international business community a message of Vietnam's determination to reform the country, restructure its economy, and shift growth model until 2020. After the 47th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum ended in Davos on Saturday, Mr. Son told reporters that Vietnam's message about efforts to national reform and building a righteous, enabling government matches the topic of the WEF meeting Responsive and responsible leadership.

Deputy Foreign Minister Son said at the just-concluded meeting, Vietnam and the World Economic Forum signed cooperative agreements, under which the WEF will help Vietnam in sustainable development, economic restructuring, competitiveness improvement, and high-tech agriculture. Vietnam was the first country to sign the cooperative deal in the form of Public Private Partnership (PPP) to access resources of WEF and its member groups. Attending the event, Vietnam also promoted its hosting of the APEC Year 2017.
