DPRK celebrates 74th Independent Day

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea held a massive event celebrating its 74th Independent Day at the foot of time-honored Mansu Hill in Pyongyang, where the statues of President Kim Il-sung and Chairman Kim Jong-il, stand solemnly, on Thursday evening.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that leader Kim Jong-un sent greetings to all people on the occasion of Independent Day. The Korean people were able to admire the colorful fireworks display and enjoy art programs praising the nation, socialism, the Workers’ Party of Korea, and national development.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent congratulatory messages to Chairman of the State Council of the DPRK Kim Jong-un.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory message to DPRK Prime Minister Kim Tok Hun.

The Vietnamese leaders congratulated the DPRK’s achievements over the last 74 years in national construction and development. They expressed their belief that the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the DPRK will continue to further develop.
