ECO summit suggests enhancing economic cooperation

The 13th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in the Pakistani capital Islamabad today/ Thursday issued an Islamabad Declaration and ECO Vision 2025, highlighting the importance of strengthening cooperation in economics, energy, infrastructure, and tourism.

The Declaration said member countries should consider the establishment of a regional electric network and market.

Ten ECO member states including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan and a special representative from China participated in the summit.
