Egypt pays attention to security of Gulf States

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi told Kuwait's Emir Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah on Sunday that the security of Gulf States is also the security of Egypt, stressing that Egypt will not allow threats to the stability and security of its "brother countries in the Gulf".

The two men met during Sisi's 2-day visit to Kuwait to strengthen their alliance. Egyptian presidency spokesman Alaa Youssef said the two leaders agreed to continue their joint efforts to counter terrorism, adding that the international community should double efforts to reach political settlements of regional conflicts in a way that preserves the countries' institutions. They also discussed bilateral relations and ways to consolidate Arab efforts.

The Egyptian President also met with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Al-Mubarak, Foreign Minister Sabah Al-Khaled, and Minister of Finance Anas Khaled, to discuss bilateral relations and recent developments in the region.
