Embassies hold tribute-paying ceremonies for former President Le Duc Anh

Vietnamese embassies in Laos, Cambodia, China, Australia, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Russia, and Singapore hosted tribute-paying ceremonies for former President General Le Duc Anh on Friday.

In Vientiane, Party General Secretary and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith paid tribute and signed a mourning book for former President Le Duc Anh.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh and delegates observed a minute of silence for former President Le Duc Anh. Many Cambodian delegations paid tribute to the Vietnamese former leader at the Vietnamese Embassy in Phnom Penh.

Vietnamese Charge D'affaires to China Pham Thanh Binh read the oration, expressing endless grief for former President General Le Duc Anh and underlining his great contribution to the glorious cause of the Party, State, and Army, including national reunification, defending the Cambodian people from genocide, and safeguarding Vietnam's island and sea territory in Truong Sa archipelago.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Ngo Huong Nam and all embassy staff observed a minute of silence in remembrance of former President Le Duc Anh. On the same day, the Vietnamese General Consulates in Sydney and Perth hosted tribute-paying ceremonies for the former leader.

Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau and representatives of Vietnamese agencies in New Delhi burned incense to pay tribute to former President Le Duc Anh.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Hai Bang, all embassy staff and representatives of Vietnamese associations in Thailand observed a minute of silence, offered incense and flowers, and signed the mourning book to remember the former leader.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh expressed endless grief over the passing of former President General Le Duc Anh, highlighting his great contributions to national renewal, development, defense, and integration. On the same day, crowds of Vietnamese expats in Russia paid respect and signed the book of condolences.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tao Thi Thanh Huong, embassy staff, and representatives of the Vietnamese community observed a minute of silence in remembrance of former President Le Duc Anh.
