Europeans more positive about future of the EU

Optimism about the future of the EU has improved significantly, with 56 percent of respondents saying they are optimistic - a six point increase since last autumn, after the UK had voted to leave the EU.

The latest European Commission's Eurobarometer survey published on Wednesday showed that the level of trust has reached its highest level since 2010. The change is especially dramatic in France, Denmark, and Portugal. Support for the euro is greater than it has been since 2016, with 78 percent of respondents in the euro area are calling the current economic situation good.
