Female entrepreneurs learn to improve digital skills to recover from COVID-19

Female entrepreneurs on Friday attended the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Forum 2021 in Hanoi which was aimed at strengthening women’s economic power through supporting women-owned businesses to digitally transform to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The forum was organized by the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry) in collaboration with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) to mark Vietnam Women’s Day, October 20. This year’s forum was themed “Digital Transformation: From Perception to Action.”

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan told the event:“The 4th Industrial Revolution and the pandemic have set a strong demand for digital transformation in all areas of social life, especially in economics. I believe that female entrepreneurs will continue to promote the good tradition of Vietnamese women and the soft power of women entrepreneurs, turn challenges into opportunities, be agile, and define new development strategies for their businesses. It’s necessary to stay united to create the business community’s shared strength; proactively approach policies and contribute to policy making and implementation, being effective and practical; and accelerate corporate restructuring, including digital transformation, for rapid and sustainable development.”
