(VOVWORLD) – Vietnam’s footwear export value is forecast to reach 23 billion USD this year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The sector earned 12 billion USD in the first half of 2021, up 24% against the same period last year, and 2.33 billion USD in June, said the Ministry.

According to the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association (Lefaso), several companies have full orders until the end of the year. Global supply chains are being re-established, which will give Vietnamese businesses more opportunities to participate in, the Association said.
