France’s Yellow Vest protesters hit streets again
Yellow Vest protesters returned to the streets of France Saturday to protest against President Emmanuel Macron's policies.
The Interior Ministry estimated that the number of demonstrators in this 11th week of protests were 22,000 across France, 2,500 of them in Paris. Marches also took place in Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Marseille, and Lyon. Police fired tear gas and water cannon to push back protesters in Paris, as some demonstrators threw stones from a building site. More than 220 people were arrested.
