Fruit festival opens in Ben Tre province

The annual fruit festival opened in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre on Saturday to promote consumption of local safe fruits.

A highlight of the festival, the 16th so far, is an artwork in the shape of a rooster and a hen transforming into phoenixes made from flowers and fruits. 160 giant locally-grown products are also displayed, including a 31kg jackfruit, a 3kg sweet potato, and a chamber of 32 coconuts.
