GDP leader visits Museum of Southeastern Armed Forces

The Museum of Southeastern Region's Armed Forces (MR7) should closely work with localities to continue promoting the beautiful image of the Southeastern armed forces, said Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People's Army, during his visit to the museum on July 23.

Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Political Education, Major General Tran Xuan Sang and leaders from Military Region 7 also attended the event.

During the first six months of the year, the museum organized five exhibitions in 15 localities under the military region to celebrate big events of the nation, welcoming over 92,000 people to the museum. In addition, the museum also actively searched and collected 60 artifacts and nearly 300 photos, and compiled and edited 79 scientific documents.

Addressing the event, General Nghia hailed the museum's great efforts in preserving and collecting precious items to attract more visitors. He also asked the unit to closely coordinate with localities to promote the beautiful image of the Southeastern armed forces, especially focusing on the core role of the military in strengthening national defense.

On this occasion, the working delegation visited an on-going exhibition at the museum.
