German Chancellor expects G20 consensus on fighting terrorism

German Chancellor Angela Merkel expects the world's 20 leading economies to broadly agree on tackling international terrorism at the summit in Hamburg later this week.

Merkel told a news conference on Monday she doesn't think they will have identical positions on all issues at the end but it's sensible and honest to talk to each other about all issues of international diplomacy. According to Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert, Ms Merkel and US President Donald Trump plan to meet Thursday ahead of the G20 summit.
