Government, NA leaders attend great national unity festival in Hanoi

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Thursday joined residents of Dien Bien ward in Hanoi at a Great National Unity Festival to mark the 86th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on Friday.

Mr. Phuc called for "more activities, support efforts to improve people's lives and ensure public order in residential areas. I hope the VFF at the grassroots level will contribute more ideas on Party building. The Party will become strong if it is supported by the people. To fulfill its mission, the Party must listen to the people."

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented gifts to disadvantaged people and students in Dien Bien ward.

The same day Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong attended a great unity festival in Thuy Khue ward in Hanoi. She asked the ward's Party Committee, administration, and residents to continue the "paying the debt of gratitude" movement and the movement on building a lifestyle of urban civilization, donate to victims in flood-hit areas and disadvantaged families in remote or border areas, and take care of old people and revolutionary contributors.
