Government officials pay Tet visit to disadvantaged people

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai on Sunday gave 750 gift sets to people in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu as Tet, Vietnam’s traditional Lunar New Year, approaches.

Beneficiaries included poor people and workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Khai said he hopes Bac Lieu people will continue to help each other overcome the pandemic’s challenges and stabilize their lives.

The same day, Hau A Lenh, Minister and Chairman of the Government Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, led a delegation to pay a Tet visit to the northern mountainous province of Bac Kan.

The delegation donated 2,200 USD to Ngan Son district’s Study Promotion Fund and 150 gift packages to disadvantaged households and policy beneficiary families in Bac Kan.
