Government opens online conference with localities

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday chaired an online conference with all 63 cities and provinces in order to set out the implementation of socio-economic development tasks for 2022. In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Chinh said that the conference is to review development results recorded in 2021, make an in-depth analysis of shortcomings, and put forward a range of solutions to realize the tasks for this year.

He requested that leaders of ministries, agencies, and localities devise specific solutions to bring into full play national development advantages, improve efficiency in resource allocation and use, and effectively fight against corruption and negativity in order to make a breakthrough in carrying out these tasks.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam’s GDP grew 2.58% with a trade surplus of 4 billion USD in 2021.
