Hanoi confirms nine local infections of coronavirus on October 11

Hanoi confirmed nine new COVID-19 cases on October 11, reported the municipal Department of Health.

The new infections related to the cluster at the Vietnam-German Friendship Hospital.

Five were found in Hoan Kiem district, one each in Thuong Tin, Soc Son, Dan Phuong and Thanh Tri districts.

Since April 29, Hanoi has documented 4,047 COVID-19 cases, including 1,606 detected in the community.

The COVID-19 outbreak related to the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital in Hanoi has left 59 people infected since the detection of the first one on September 30.

Of them, 29 infections were reported in the capital city, 30 in other localities.

The municipal authorities called on local people to strictly abide by the 5K message and countermeasures set by the Ministry of Health so as to soon put the pandemic under control.

Those showing symptoms of cough, sore throat, high body temperature, fatigue, reduction or loss of taste are required to contact with the nearest medical facility for COVID-19 testing to timely deter community transmission.

Local people could give their feedback about the pandemic prevention work via hotline number 1022, mobile apps like Zalo, Bluezone.
