Hanoi cooperates with localities for safe tours

A conference took place on Friday to increase cooperation between Hanoi and other 11 northern localities in safe tourism.

At the conference, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, and Ha Giang agreed to establish a safe tourism corridor in the new normalcy. They came up with a set of regulations for transportation and tourist sites to ensure safe, convenient tours among localities after a long hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi municipal Department of Tourism, said, “Localities are delighted at this safe tourism corridor. They are all set for this idea initiated by Hanoi, which cannot revive the tourism industry all by itself but, instead, by joining hands with other localities.”

This safe tourism corridor is exemplary for the resumption of domestic tourism across Vietnam. Hanoi and other northern localities will develop a series of linked tourism services.
