Hanoi leads in attracting FDI
Hanoi has led Vietnam in attracting FDI with registered capital totaling 5 billion USD since the beginning of this year.
According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam has approved more than 1,900 new FDI projects with a total investment of 13.4 billion USD. Japan is Vietnam's biggest foreign direct investor, followed by South Korea and Singapore.
In the past 8 months, Vietnam obtained 93 new projects with a total investment capital of 310 million USD, mainly in finance, banking, agriculture, forestry, seafood, processing, and manufacturing.
Vietnam has invested in 29 countries and territories led by Laos.
